As Rosh HaShana stands for Head of the Year, we should all use our heads to focus more on recycling our empty bottles and cans in schools, synagogues, community centers, offices, businesses, and at restaurants!
5776 brought ReJews Recycling great success in its work to promote sustainability and social entrepreneurship across the Jewish world! Whether at conferences or at special events, or even back at home throughout countless communities as part of our global focus, ReJews has been very fortunate and blessed to receive support from countless community members, Google, GoDaddy, Blue Moon, Walgreens, the United Nations, UJA-NY, the Schusterman Foundation, YouTube, and the Jewish Week!

The Face of Recycling in the Jewish World

Since first helping launch a student-run recycling initiative in the Old City of Jerusalem, Israel, there has been tremendous momentum that has led ReJews throughout its growth. Envisioning, and pledging itself to help create, a Jewish world where environmentalism, namely recycling, becomes more of a recognized and proud value of Judaism. Throughout schools, synagogues, community centers, restaurants, and business offices, as a 501c3 nonprofit recycling organization that promotes environmental action initiatives was first about the helping Jews around the world, and, as cited by founder Henry Goodelman in a recent tweet, now, "ReJews helps the world."

To help share the important message of Jewish environmentalism, tikkun olam, and bal tashchis, this blog will serve as a new medium to spread the ReJews brand voice, and help provide deeper insight into much of the important background that supports the mission of going green in the Jewish world!
